But the situation is changing. Energy savings, low environmental pollution, minimal maintenance and high efficiency are now becoming key features. As a result, major printer manufacturers have developed new inkjet printing technologies that are ideal for any office. Printing costs have been significantly reduced, cartridges use much less raw material and print speeds have become the same as a laser printer. In addition, new ink composition and paper covering technology have made prints waterproof.

Paper saving Eco-friendly printers are not enough to protect our environment. It's also important to save paper. Every page that is not printed saves the environment and resources. To save more paper in your office (and therefore more money), you need to know how much each department or printer in your company prints. A modern printer tracking system helps you keep track of this by providing the data you need in the customer self-service:

• How many prints each office device prints per month;
• How many colour and monochrome copies are made;
• The number of prints in the current month;
• The amount of printing costs for each month;

Knowing this data makes it easy to decide which documents are worth printing and which are better saved and processed digitally. If you use several printers, then it is easy to decide which one to use for which printouts.
